How to stop Farmville requests on FaceBook

I have nothing against people playing games on the net, but lately Facebook seems inundated wtih Farmville, Mafia Wars, and Bejeweled requests.

When someone sends you another request from those applications take your mouse and hover over the post. In the top right hand side of the post, the word "hide" will appear. Click on that and it will then ask you if you want to "Hide (The Person)" or Hide (Farmville), or Cancel.

Most likely you still want to hear from the person, so simply click on "Hide Farmville"

Wha la!

Beef Bullion EggBeater Soup

In my quest to create an ultra low calorie, simple, hot soup, I came up with this today:

Beef Bullion EggBeater Soup
Serving Size 1 Large Mug

1 Beef Bullion Cube
1/2 Teaspoon Corn Starch
1/4 Cup Egg Beaters

Boil a mugful of water, either on stove or microwave. Add in bullion cube, stir.
Add in corn starch to thicken a bit. Then add in Egg Beaters stir, and reheat for 1 minute in microwave to insure proper cooking.

Take out of microwave and stir one more time to break up solids and cool to comfortable serving temperature. Season with a dash of hot sauce. Makes a great low calorie, yet filling soup, on a cold winter's day.

A Neat Little Twitter Trick

Well, I was researching the internet on the Twitter phenomena and came across this really interesting "Twitter Trick".

This is definitely worth giving a try.

What are your thoughts? Give it a test it out by tweeting about this blog post, which should definitely have mass Twitter appeal and does fit the pure content criteria.

Getting married after already getting married...

Ok, Yesterday I posted about the guy who facebooked during his marriage ceremony...What happens when you get married and you are, well, already married?

Caught on Tape: A Peru groom was attacked at a mass wedding ceremony by the aunt and sister of his current wife. The man left the ceremony without getting married.

Facebooking and Twitterring at the Altar

Ok, so you've heard me in the past write that Facebook is making telepathic communication almost a reality. This video clip adds a whole new dimension to that thought...

Apparently, a guy, let's call him Dana, (well because his name actually is Dana), decided to update his Facebook at the altar. This was apparently what he posted:

"Standing at the altar with Tracy where just a second ago, she became my wife! Gotta go, time to kiss my bride." 1:48 PM Nov 21st

The video "softens" the actual post.

What's with all the shoe throwing ?

The Iraqi journalist who flung his shoes at George Bush, the former US president, has himself come under a shoe attack in Paris at the hands of a fellow Iraqi. Seriously folks, you can't make this stuff up.

Wow, Check Out Those Stats !

Ok, I admit it. I'm a stats junkie. This, to me, is a very cool video.
(Yeah, yeah...I know, I went to Stuy)

"You've never seen data presented like this. With the drama and urgency of a sportscaster, statistics guru Hans Rosling debunks myths about the so-called "developing world."
