Hi Folks,
Hope all is well with you. Some of you I have not spoken to in a while, so I hope this reaches you in good health and in good spirits.
Found the following video to be interesting and also a bit reassuring as someone who has been behind a barrier or two. I am forwarding this to those in my address book that fall into that same category. You may want to share it with others to give them a bit more situational awareness of the effectiveness of these barriers.
It was originally sent from someone in the Dept of Homeland Security. Please read below before playing.

How often have you wondered just how strong are those cement barriers
you see in front of military base entrances? Read below and view the clip.
From time to time, someone asks why there are concrete barriers in front
of controlled and secure buildings. When they are told that the barriers
are there to stop traffic, even trucks, from approaching the building, they
usually respond with a look of disbelief. This footage proves the point.
In this test, the following parameters were used. Read them and then watch
the film.
Truck = 65,000 lbs.
Speed = 50 mph
Kinetic Energy = 5.5 MILLION ft. lbs.
Stopped in 24 INCHES!!!
