Save the Children: News Releases: Thousands of Children in Niger at Risk of Severe Malnutrition
Ok, just made a donation to Save The Children, I donated what I would have spent on a family dinner for four in the US. I imagine that would buy a portion of basic staples that would last much more than one dinner in Niger. I decided on this charity because after donating to them for Tsunami relief, they kept me informed through a newsletter showing how donations were being utilized. Save the Children appears to use %90 of donations directly towards children's needs. The attached chart shows their budgeting strategy.
